Our Vision
We envision a world where the profound impact of trauma on the mind, body, and soul is fully understood and compassionately addressed. Trauma leaves no aspect of a person untouched, and to truly heal and support survivors, we must examine its effects through diverse and interdisciplinary lenses.
At the Suicide & Trauma Research Collaborative (STRC), we are committed to fostering holistic understanding and innovative approaches that integrate psychological, physiological, and social perspectives. By embracing this comprehensive approach, we aim to transform how trauma is studied, understood, and address in our communities and beyond.

Our Mission
The Suicide & Trauma Research Collaborative (STRC) advances knowledge and understanding of trauma-related sequelae through interdisciplinary research, education, and mentorship. We empower future leaders in psychological and behavioral health by engaging undergraduate and graduate students, as well as community and research professionals, in meaningful, impactful research, education, and training. Our work is guided by a commitment to evidence-based practices and transformative learning experiences, with a focus on addressing the unique needs of trauma survivors, Veterans, and First Responders.
